Principal AI Architect

(www.hcltech.com ) Work Model : Hybrid HCLTech's AI Labs is hiring an Architect (AI) to design enterprise-scale AI systems and serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives at some of our largest global clients. This is a high-visibility role representing both AI Labs and the broader HCLTech organization across events, executive meetings, and partner ecosystems. What You'll Do Architect enterprise AI solutions including agentic systems, RAG pipelines, and hybrid LLM/SLM models. Define secure, scalable, cost-efficient AI architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Advise C-level leaders on AI strategy, roadmaps, and governance. Represent HCLTech at conferences, client briefings, partner sessions, and online thought-leadership channels. Partner with Client Partners and senior leaders as a trusted advisor on high-value accounts. Core Qualifications 8+ years in technical leadership across software engineering and cloud architecture. Deep expertise in one major cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP) with working knowledge of another. Hands-on experience with GenAI platforms (Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, Bedrock). Strong background in RAG architecture, orchestration, and model tuning. Exceptional communication and executive advisory skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-agent architectures. Familiarity with GenAI Ops, AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001), and AI FinOps. Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel. Thought-leadership experience (speaking, publishing, open source). Professional-level cloud certifications. Compensation and Benefits A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
