By optimizing every element for performance per dollar, they make training and inference radically more efficient. Their mission is simple: make frontier-scale AI accessible to everyone. Position — Design Engineer with strong Haskell skills to help develop next-generation silicon for high-performance AI systems. No previous hardware design experience? No problem. If you're an experienced Haskell programmer, you'll be supported in learning the hardware side. Responsibilities Designing production hardware for compute, memory management, and high-speed connectivity Developing reusable, parameterised Bluespec libraries Exploring hardware architectures using the power of functional programming Building tooling to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of hardware development Qualifications Strong Haskell experience, including monads, typeclasses, higher-order functions, and do-notation Enthusiasm for learning Bluespec Haskell (BH) Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, and CI/CD What’s on offer Salary ranging from $120K–$600K , depending on experience, plus equity Generous paid time off and paid holidays Hybrid working with remote Mondays and Fridays Paid parental leave 401(k) contribution and additional employee benefits If you're passionate about functional programming and want to apply your skills to cutting-edge AI hardware, we'd love to hear from you.
