This organization offers a supportive, mission-driven culture that blends community-focused care with the resources and stability of a larger health system.This role reports directly to the Director of Women’s & Children’s Services and offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced, highly respected leader known for mentorship, collaboration, and effective union partnership. The hospital provides a fast-paced yet supportive environment with strong opportunities for professional growth and advancement.What You’ll Be Doing• Provide clinical and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units• Lead, mentor, and support front-line nursing and ancillary staff• Foster teamwork, engagement, and open communication across units• Partner with educators and clinical leaders to identify training needs and support ongoing staff development• Monitor patient outcomes, unit performance, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards• Champion initiatives focused on patient safety, throughput, and satisfaction• Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational strategy• Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence on the unitsQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred• Active California Registered Nurse license required• NRP certification required• Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience, preferably in perinatal services• Minimum of one year of nursing leadership or management experience• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills• Ability to work effectively in a union environmentCompensation and Benefits• Salary range: $145,000 – $218,000 annually• Full benefits package• Relocation assistance may be available for the ideal candidateIdeal Candidate• Experienced Labor & Delivery nurse leader with hands-on management experience• Background working in a unionized hospital environment• Experience in a high-volume L&D setting• Strong quality, regulatory, and performance improvement experience• Passion for maternal-child health and team developmentAt Nurchure Staffing Solutions, we’re dedicated to matching you with opportunities that align perfectly with your skills and career aspirations.
