Job Title: Technical ArchitectLocation: San Jose (Onsite)Experience Required: 15–20 YearsInterview Process: Video InterviewsJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with strong expertise in Generative AI, scalable backend systems, and cloud-native application architecture. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end solution design, collaborate directly with customer leadership teams, and drive the development of AI-powered applications using FastAPI, LangChain/LangGraph, Vector Databases, and modern event-driven architectures.This role requires deep technical leadership, hands-on coding capability, and the ability to architect resilient, scalable, and secure enterprise-grade AI platforms deployed in containerized environments.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end architecture and technical solution design for AI-driven applications.Collaborate closely with Cisco leadership and customer stakeholders on a daily basis for technical reviews and strategic discussions.Design, develop, and optimize scalable APIs using Python and FastAPI.Build Generative AI applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.Develop and manage LangGraph/LangChain agents for complex AI workflows and automation.Lead engineering teams by conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and ensuring development best practices.Implement robust asynchronous event-driven systems with retry mechanisms, backoff strategies, and failure recovery handling.Design secure authentication and authorization systems using OAuth2.0 and JWT validation.Establish monitoring, logging, observability, and error-handling standards for AI and backend systems.Optimize application performance, scalability, and fault tolerance across distributed systems.Deploy and manage containerized applications on OpenShift environments.Support CI/CD automation pipelines and infrastructure deployment processes.Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support enterprise-scale applications and AI workloads.Required Technical SkillsBackend & API DevelopmentStrong experience with Python and FastAPI.Proficiency in JavaScript for backend and lightweight frontend support (excluding ReactJS).Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication.Experience with asynchronous programming patterns (async/await).Generative AI & AI FrameworksHands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).Expertise in prompt engineering, including fine-tuning and dynamic prompting techniques.Experience with LangChain and LangGraph agents.Experience with Vector Databases and FAISS.Databases & MessagingExperience with Redis (cache, streams, pub/sub).Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Teradata, SOLR, etc.Security & ArchitectureExperience implementing OAuth2.0 and JWT-based API security.Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance systems.DevOps & CloudExperience deploying containerized applications on OpenShift.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in enterprise-scale AI transformation projects.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.Excellent problem-solving and architectural decision-making capabilities.Ability to mentor developers and lead technical teams effectively.EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
