Job Description Automation Project Manager The Project Manager is an integral member of the project team who is responsible for managing multiple business unit projects and complex single business unit projects. The Project Manager is responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities.Automation Project ManagerSuccess Factors:Project Management: Successfully manage projects to be delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Effectively manage scope changes and issue change requests when appropriate. Consistently exhibits exceptional customer service that cultivates long-lasting business partnerships.Project Proposal: Contribute and support the proposal process by reviewing project management service deliverables, scope, schedule, and ensure commercial details are clearly presented.Consistency and Quality: Adhere to the project management processes and project execution plans. Drive accountability to all stakeholders on the project team to ensure quality and consistently follow the processes and procedures.Process Improvement: Demonstrate a desire for continuous improvement by recognizing processes that can be improved and being an active team member in making improvements.Automation Project ManagerResponsibilities:Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget and in accordance with Applied Control methodology and standardsAssist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityContribute to the proposal process, understanding and holding all participants accountable for deliverables and deadlinesEffectively communicate project resource needs throughout the project lifecycleManage day-to-day operational aspects of project scopesEnsure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyPrepare for and run recurring client meetings, reviews and factory acceptance tests with project teamExecute multiple, concurrent projects including services, hardware, and panel scopes across a variety of clients and industriesCoordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projectsManage project risk and issue management as it relates to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs while minimizing Applied Control's exposure and riskSupport the company in the development and constant improvement of company project management standards, procedures, and best practicesReport and escalate to management as neededSuccessfully foster relationships and manage communication with the client and all stakeholdersCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, project scheduling, milestones, RAID logs, transmittals, etc.Ensure timely invoice submittals based on project milestone completion as well as reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices for accuracyCoordinate with interdepartmental team members, including inside sales, services, and account managers to deliver successful project executionAutomation Project ManagerSkills/Qualifications:B.S. in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferredPMP or similar is a bonusProven working experience in project management related to I&C projectsExcellent client-facing and internal communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS ProjectWell organized with attention to detailEffective prioritization and time management skillsSelf-motivated with a commitment to continuous process improvementDemonstrated results‐driven mentality with strong drive and initiative, consistently taking ownership to move projects forward and deliver results ahead of scheduleDiscreet with confidential informationProven ability to work closely with others and find solutions to problemsAutomation Project ManagerWorking Conditions:Working in an office setting or a manufacturing facility. Driving and operating machinery involved. This position may require evening, weekend and holiday hours, as well as travel (15%). Lifting up to 50 pounds is required on occasion.Automation Project ManagerCompensation:Base range: $100,000 - $110,000 annual salary.
