Key Account Manager-2

Develop and manage the special markets business program within specialized channels to existing and new accounts to achieve maximum sales, profitability and growth. Work to ensure accounts are executing to brand standards and company objectives through all wholesale distribution points. Identify opportunities within each market place for new accounts and present and make recommendations of growth prospects to the Director of Key Accounts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Manage and influence sales targets for assigned key accountsWork closely with accounts and field based sales team to communicate and influence sales programs to ensure the Vera Bradley brand is properly represented Lead frequent sales meetings to develop relationships with our Key Accounts and to build mutually agreed upon sales targetsDevelop product assortments by assigned specialty key account working closely with Merchant and IPD teamsDevelop and curate relationships with key leaders from our specialty store partners and specialty stores that we are targeting for growthResponsible for achieving annual sales plan for assigned specialty key account base Manage existing client relationships, including client communication and customer care issuesAccountable for prospect accounts from presale to implementationEnsure specialized channel sales budget are managed appropriately and product assortments are hitting margin targetsMaintain strong communication with home office team to ensure all records of all specialized channels’ accounts and prospects are up to date and accurateWork with the distribution team to ensure product availability Accountable for prospect accounts from presale to implementationWork closely with marketing to ensure the Vera Bradley brand is properly representedCoordinate and communicate with sales team regarding specialized channel’s programsParticipate in weekly sales department meetingsEducation And/Or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field or equivalent experience5+ years sales management experience; key account and national account experience preferred. Proven experience achieving high-level sales results, negotiating multi-faceted contracts, and converting pipeline to customer accounts. Proven experience with new business development and along with strong network of prospect accounts. Strong negotiation skills and business acumen effectively managing customer agreements, pricing negotiations and contract termsRetail sales experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
