Be responsible for guiding and directing the youth in care and participating in the assessment of each. Prepare youth for successful living within societal norms.Guide and support youth development through safe supervision on and off campus, as well as instruction in recreational, vocational, cultural, and social activities.Work collaboratively with staff within the department as well as colleagues in other departments to assure the development and implementation of treatment plans and corresponding programming to meet the individual needs of the youth in care. Works effectively with the youth’s family to develop an awareness of and to plan appropriate leisure time activities both in the home with the family and also within the home community. Foster the social, vocational, and cultural needs and interest of each youth and their family in such planning.Submit all necessary reports in a timely manner and maintain accurate records. Confer regularly with the supervisor of department on each youth’s individual and group progress. Assure the confidentiality of each youth’s case.Maintain safety, appropriate physical appearance, and security of all utilities space and equipment.
