Retail Sales Associate - HIMALI - Seattle, WA Schedule: Full Time and Part Time Available. Work with current staff to pick a schedule that works for your lifestyle. Location: 400 Pike St, Seattle WA Compensation: $22-27/hr starting pay + Free and Discounted Product Responsibilities: We are looking for sales associates for our new flagship store in Seattle, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to grow a fast growing independently owned company. You will be responsible for creating a positive customer experience and ensuring high customer satisfaction by properly outfitting them for their outdoor activities. Secondarily, you will also be responsible for fulfilling online orders, processing exchanges/returns and maintaining an appealing storefront. This position requires in-depth technical gear knowledge and great people skills. If desired, and for the right candidate, there is potential to grow into other roles at the company. You are going to get out what you put into this position. Qualifications:1) We are looking for a dynamic and well-rounded individual - broad skill sets are encouraged to apply.2) Our preferred candidate will have a proactive and “jump in, get feet wet” attitude while being able to follow directions. Flexibility and a positive attitude are a must.3) The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator.4) Enjoys learning about outdoor apparel and communicating this knowledge to others.5) Ability to take personal responsibility and accountability.6) Well organized with strong attention to detail.7) Retail and/or customer service experience preferred but not required.8) You are outgoing and friendly while retaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.9) You will have a solid knowledge of what it means to be an outdoor adventurer and have expertise in areas like: mountaineering, backpacking, climbing (rock, ice, mixed), trail running, & camping, as well as how the proper gear can contribute to a great experience outside.
