Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)Contract: 3-month contract with likely extensionLocation: Philadelphia – PennsylvaniaTravel: Local travel between nearby healthcare facilities required Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment, including: Sterilizers | Laboratory analyzers | General patient care devices | Cardiac/pacing equipmentSupport medical device networking initiativesMigrate devices onto segmented clinical networksVerify connectivity, cybersecurity compliance, and documentationExecute technical procedures alongside clinical teams, IT, and vendorsCoordinate vendor-supported technical projects and implementationsProvide general operating room support and navigate clinical environments safelyTravel locally between facilities to support service requests and projectsMaintain accurate records in asset management systemsFollow OEM/AEM procedures and regulatory standardsOperate independently while collaborating with the clinical engineering teamRequired QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, Applied Science, or equivalent military/technical training3–5+ years of biomedical equipment experienceHands-on experience with multiple equipment types (sterilizers, lab, and patient care devices)Experience with medical device networking and network segmentationExperience coordinating technical work with vendors and stakeholdersAbility to work independently in fast-paced clinical environmentsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationPreferred QualificationsAAMI certification (CBET or equivalent)Experience supporting large healthcare systemsOperating room support experienceFamiliarity with clinical applications, medical PCs, and cybersecurity practicesInterview Process: Onsite technical interviewsStart Timeline: Immediate need / expedited hiring process*
