Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator and become a vital contributor to precision metalworking excellence! In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components. Duties Program CNC lathes using Fanuc controls and CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, SolidCam to create precise machining instructions. G-code programming. Set up CNC lathe machines, including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration for optimal performance. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers and other measurement instruments for quality control. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste throughout the machining process. Skills Extensive experience programming CNC lathes with Fanuc controls; G-code programming experience required, familiarity with CNC milling machines is a plus. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CAM programming experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing (GD&T), and schematic interpretation for accurate part production. Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, machining tools, fixtures, and CNC tooling management. Skilled in measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers and other precision measurement instruments for quality assurance. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately while applying lean manufacturing practices for continuous improvement. Excellent math skills for programming calculations and measurement conversions; familiarity with CAM software like SolidCam or similar is beneficial.
