Our philosophy is to function like the construction branch of our clients' enterprise, working with owners, architects/engineers, government agencies and sub-contractors to produce results with the client's interest in mind.Position OverviewBrascia Builders, Inc. is seeking a motivated, flexible and dependable individual to fill a full time Project Engineer position in our Long Beach office. We provide training, as appropriate to increase employee's capabilities. The career path for Project Engineers can include Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Manager and Executive Positions based on your goals and skillset. Hours: Generally 7:30am - 4:30pm, but can vary depending on the job requirements.NOTE: This is not a mechanical or civil engineer position.Benefits401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental PayBonus payKey ResponsibilitiesMaintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problemsHandles subcontractor interactions in a manner to build long term relationshipsWork with subs, engineers, safety/quality assurance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure newly developed projects are constructed to the highest quality and deadlines are metWhen necessary, coordinate and attend meetings with outside departments, gathering all necessary information for project successful completionReport the status of current projects to department manager and requesting parties.Heavy document control for construction drawings, RFI tracking / logging, site photo documentation management and other construction contract information as neededAssist in preparation, tracking and filing of construction documents. These documents include but are not limited to drawings, construction specifications, scopes of work, RFI's, etc.Provide support to project management of vendor contracts for assigned projects. Monitors change or delays to construction schedule. This includes but not limited to evaluation of contractors schedule performance and schedule coordination with other groups and departments. Weekly look ahead updates and monthly overall updates are reviewed and recovery plans are developed if schedule variances occur.Progressive responsibility in assuming project management duties.Misc. Duties as assignedSalary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually.
