Drivers Assistant

Job Description Summary:We are looking for a candidate for Driver's Assistant position. This role will assist the truck drivers with logistics. Ideal candidate will be able to drive the box truck when truck driver is away. Also an assistant must have a clean MVR for last 5 years, valid driver's license, ability to lift over 50 pounds, and ability to drive a box truck as needed.Job Description:Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessaryEnsure secure load before movementClean and wash truck as necessaryReport truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisorComply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulationsAll other duties as assignedJob Qualifications:6 plus years of Driving Experience requiredMinimum 21 years of ageValid Class 'A' CDL with 1 year verifiable satisfactory driving recordKnowledge of Department of Transportation, State and Federal LawsAbility to read and write legiblyAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateSound work ethic, honesty and moral characterHigh School Diploma or equivalentPrevious live poultry tractor trailer driving experienceBasic math functions and skillsFollow Department of Transportation, State and Federal laws, and company safety policies and programsWork in outside environment (including inclement weather) on a daily basisSit and drive for up to 10 hours, and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shiftLift up to 75 lbsWork around raw, live animal odorsWork in noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipmentWork nights, weekends, holidays and long shiftsBenefits: Aviagen USA provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the healthcare and financial well-being of our employees.
