Licensed Irrigator in the Maintenance Irrigation DivisionSUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Irrigator installs, maintains, operates, repairs, troubleshoots underground irrigations systems as well as completes irrigation audits. The Irrigator conducts inventory of tools, equipment, or materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available, and items are in usable condition. He/she completes requests for irrigation parts and supplies.ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIESManage the installation of new drip and sprinkler systemsSet and maintain times on controllers; troubleshoot all aspects of irrigation system to include electrical and mechanical.Map systems for master plansMay instruct others in irrigation repairsOperate trenchers and rock saws to install/repair linesOperate the vehicle safely over an assigned route/to the destinationFollow all company safety, security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries: complete safety training and certificationsComply with quality assurance expectations and standardsEnsure uniform, company vehicle and personal appearance are clean and professionalOther duties as assignedLICENSES+CERTIFICATIONSState of Texas TCEQ issued Irrigation LicenseClass C driver license with a clean driving record requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESExtensive knowledge of underground irrigation systems.Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respectAbility to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations (i.e., may be subject to "on-call" responsibilities)A "can-do" attitudePHYSICAL DEMANDS(all required to be done for up to 8 hours or more a day):
