Responsibilities:Engage with clients across various industries to provide expert advice on export compliance matters. Lead and manage projects related to export classifications, audits, reviews, program development, and training. Contribute to market development and thought leadership initiatives, including writing articles. Research, write, and review advisory materials focusing on export compliance. Support the professional growth and training of team members while providing leadership and reviewing their work. Qualifications:Minimum three years of hands-on experience in export compliance (e.g., EAR and ITAR), including deemed exports, export jurisdiction and classification, licenses, ITAR/EAR export authorizations, and developing sustainable export compliance programs. Bachelor's degree, J.D., or Master's in Taxation (MST) from an accredited institution. Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. export control regulations with the ability to provide practical solutions for complex issues. General experience with export control and sanctions, including audits, voluntary disclosure, classification, and compliance frameworks. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, alongside strong technical capabilities preferred; experience in a reputable tax/advisory or trade law firm is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. LCB or CUSECO certification is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
