This position will incorporate the opportunity to manage larger scopes of work and employees. On a daily basis you will actively participate in the coordination and management of the jobsite to ensure a safe, quality, timely execution of the project.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Contract and Subcontract administrationConstruction SchedulingMaterial & Equipment – procurement and expeditingMechanical, electrical and piping systems coordinationShop drawing and submittal review and coordinationProject cost review, reporting, updating and accountingReview of subcontractor applications for paymentParticipation in and documentation of project coordination meetingsSupervision and coordination of subcontractors’ field installationsReview and negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractorsPrepare change proposal pricing for self-performed workChange order documentation and associated cost reporting and maintenanceResearch and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipmentMaintenance of As-Built plansQuality control - field and shopMonitor and document jobsite safety and accident preventionProject CloseoutImplement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action ProgramsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required2-5 years of equivalent experience requiredGeneral knowledge of construction principles/practices requiredExperienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform workStrong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment requiredMust be geographically mobile and able to relocate within the regionMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.NOTICE TO EXTERNAL SEARCH FIRMS: McCarthy’s Talent Acquisition Team is the only authorized representative permitted to engage with external search firms, staffing agencies, or other third-party recruiting partners. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation.
