About St. Mark's Founded in 1906, St. Mark's School of Texas is a non-sectarian, college-preparatory, independent day school for boys in grades one through twelve. The School's charter states that it is "designed to afford its students well-rounded physical, intellectual, moral, and religious training and instruction." Position Description The St. Mark's School of Texas seeks an experienced educator to join our Middle School faculty beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. A strong candidate will be a compassionate teacher with knowledge and understanding of the development of young boys. Experience should include the background to teach necessary language arts skills along with ancient world history (origins of mankind, river valley civilizations, and early Asia, Africa, and European civilizations) within the interdisciplinary structure of a humanities classroom. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, be organized and punctual, and be positive team-players. St. Mark's is a vibrant learning community, and successful candidates will be generative in their thinking about teaching and learning, will enjoy working with young boys, and will seek to collaborate with colleagues, share teaching resources, and contribute to the wider school community in a myriad of ways including coaching and participation in our outdoor education program.
