Your Role in Our Team
As a WITRON Maintenance Manager in an automated distribution center, the role leads maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, efficient repairs, and minimal downtime. Reporting to the Site Manager, it manages a team of technicians and collaborates with departments such as Operations, Technical Support, Spare Parts, and CMMS Administration to implement proactive strategies, uphold compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.
You are a strategic and hands‑on maintenance leader with a strong background in managing automated distribution centers. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, excel at cross‑functional coordination, and are committed to safety, compliance, and operational excellence. With a data‑driven mindset, you proactively identify opportunities for improvement, standardize best practices, and work collaboratively to minimize downtime and drive consistent site performance.
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in mechanical/electrical or related fields, preferably with an engineering degree
Skills/Experience Required
3–5 years in a leadership role within maintenance or manufacturing environments
Proficient in core maintenance principles and experienced in applying 5S methodologies
Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and prioritization
Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and implement effective systems
Strategic, hands‑on leader with manufacturing startup experience (an asset)
Excellent communicator with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
Committed to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Adaptable and resilient in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments
Collaborative mindset focused on standardization and operational excellence
Willingness to travel to different sites during the training period
Key Responsibilities
Oversight and accountability for all maintenance shifts of the 24/7 automated facility
Create and maintain reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze daily faults
Collaborate with Site Manager to review maintenance procedures and maintain customer service levels
Ensure maintenance teams are optimized and staffed accordingly, managing headcount, overtime, and team performance
Oversee the upkeep and proper use of WITRON Computerized Management System and maintenance schedules, ensuring adherence to planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance
Be a motivated team builder, coach and trainer fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Maximize machinery availability targeted, planned and unplanned repairs
Maintain clear and consistent communication with all departments and leaders
Oversee parts and tools inventory, implementing cost control measures, and providing monthly headcount, parts, and cost forecasting
Build close ties with other WITRON sites and headquarters in Germany to facilitate guidance and knowledge best practice sharing
Be on call as per the escalation procedures and respond efficiently to minimize machinery downtime
Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
