Senior Procurement Specialist-SAP SRM/SAP S4 HANA
Job Summary:The company is seeking a detail-oriented procurement support professional to provide end-to-end procure-to-pay assistance within a fast-paced research and development environment. This role will support internal stakeholders with purchasing requests, supplier coordination, invoice discrepancy resolution, and order tracking while ensuring timely processing of materials and services. The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement systems knowledge, financial support experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a highly collaborative setting.Key Responsibilities:• Initiate and process purchase orders for material goods and service requests using enterprise purchasing systems.• Create and manage shopping carts, requisitions, and work breakdown structure associated orders within procurement platforms.• Serve as the liaison between internal business teams and suppliers to resolve order discrepancies, damaged shipments, returns, and delivery issues.• Track open and outstanding purchase orders and follow up with customers or suppliers to ensure timely closure.• Investigate invoice discrepancies related to purchase order transactions and support issue resolution.• Partner with purchasing and corporate finance teams to resolve pricing, quantity, and invoice mismatches.• Post receipts for goods and services accurately and ensure suppliers are paid within established timelines.• Provide invoice payment issue identification and resolution support for stockroom operations and research teams.• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure compliance with internal purchasing procedures.Required Qualifications:• High School diploma with at least 4 years of relevant procurement or financial support experience, or Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience• Minimum 2 years of experience working with procurement systems or payment processing platforms• Strong understanding of procure-to-pay workflows, purchasing procedures, and invoice management• Hands-on experience creating shopping carts in SAP SRM• Experience resolving invoice issues in SAP S4Hana• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills• Strong verbal and written communication abilities• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing competing prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:• Experience supporting procurement operations in a research and development or laboratory environment• Familiarity with Ariba or Jaggaer purchasing platforms• Exposure to supplier payment coordination and accounts payable issue resolution• Experience handling high-volume purchase order tracking and closeout activitiesBenefits:The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.Pay Range: $30/hr to $38/hr
