Continuing Care Retirement Communities and Assisted Living Facilities for the ElderlyAccounting, Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping, and Payroll ServicesOffice Administrative ServicesAdministration of Human Resource ProgramsManagement, Scientific, and Technical Consulting ServicesJob Description:Prepare/upload journal entries for balance sheet and expense accountsPrepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all reconciling items are valid and accounted properlyLead the preparation, review, and posting of monthly accruals, including operating expenses, vendor liabilities, and recurring journal entriesPartner with the AP team to resolve discrepancies, improve workflows, and strengthen internal controlsMonitor invoice accruals versus actuals and provide insights to business partners on spending patternsPerform monthly detailed variance analysisCross train and backup other accounting staffAssist Accounting Manager with month-end close/journal entry reviewParticipate in coordination of accounting deliverables related to planning, interim and year end audit processIdentify and participate in improvement of current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivityAssist with M&A accounting related activitiesAd hoc account analysis as needed to support businessRequirements:5+ years' experience in related positionStrong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOXAdvanced skills in Excel including pivot tables and Google sheetsExperience and understanding of accounting and ERP systems, NetSuite preferredExperience with accrual accounting and Accounts Payable systems and process flows, Coupa preferredStrong familiarity with month-end close and general ledger processesLarge company, high transaction volume experienceAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environmentObservant and detail orientedSelf-directed and highly responsiveExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong work ethic.
