This role is pivotal in designing and delivering complex platform capabilities that underpin secure and reliable product delivery at scale. A minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience is required, with demonstrated expertise in building and operating distributed services in production environments. Candidates should have excellent system design skills, including data modeling, API design, and understanding of performance and reliability tradeoffs. Proven ability to drive technical alignment across cross-functional teams and deliver results in ambiguous or complex problem spaces is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with identity and access management services, secure platform patterns, and cloud technologies, especially OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities include leading the architecture, design, and implementation of complex platform services and shared components, ensuring solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards. The candidate will own key technical decisions, conduct design reviews, and establish engineering standards related to API consistency, testing strategies, deployment patterns, and observability. Mentoring engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and leadership is a core aspect of this role. Additionally, the role involves driving reliability improvements through SLOs/SLIs, capacity planning, incident analysis, and automation initiatives. Collaboration with Security and Compliance teams is vital to ensure secure-by-design implementations and audit readiness.
