Sales - Criminal Defense Law Firm Client Intake Specialist

We communicate regularly with clients and zealously advocate for them at every turn. The firm is now looking for three Client Intake Sales Specialists to join our team. This position offers a guaranteed hourly rate ($17-$21 per hour) and the potential to have a monthly performance bonus. Both individual and team bonuses are available to you in your second month.Many people who start in client intake go on to become intake supervisors, legal operations leads, firm managers, or pursue law school with firsthand courtroom exposure. If you have those, we want to talk to you.Bilingual English/Spanish/Haitian Creole/Portuguese is a strong plus — but not required.Your RoleAs a Client Intake Sales Specialist, you are the first voice a prospective client hears. You are equal parts guide, closer, and compassionate advocate. Your job is to take a potential client from their very first phone call to becoming a valued client of the firm — efficiently, empathetically, and with total professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for prospective clients — conducting engaging, empathetic intake interviews to understand their situation and legal needs.Guide potential clients through our intake process from first contact to a signed retainer, diligently following through to convert qualified leads into clients.Manage client intake processes using legal case management software (Lawmatics and Clio), ensuring all data is accurately entered and maintained.Screen prospective clients to assess their needs, eligibility, and coordinate with attorneys to facilitate a smooth case onboarding.We do not take every client that calls.Maintain detailed records of client interactions, follow-up activities, and potential case statuses, all while adhering to strict confidentiality standards.Handle inbound and outbound communications with professionalism, including calls, messages, emails, and scheduling.Embrace ongoing training and development to sharpen your skills and stay aligned with firm processes.What We’re Looking ForA relentless drive and genuine passion for closing, paired with real empathy for people navigating difficult legal situations.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with exceptional phone presence.Outstanding organizational ability: detail-oriented, accurate with data entry, and able to juggle multiple client interactions simultaneously.A goal-oriented mindset and alignment with our core values: positivity, teamwork, continuous evolution, and relentless drive.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required; experience with legal case management software such as Lawmatics and Clio is a major plus.Sales or customer-facing experience preferred but not required. We’ll train the right person.The right person will include the phrase, “Let’s Get It!” when they submit the application!Familiarity with criminal defense, personal injury, or other legal practice areas is a plus, but also not mandatory.Familiarity with the criminal justice system, whether through personal experience or that of a family member, friend, or loved one, is also a huge plus.Your background can have some blemishes, that is not an immediate disqualification.What We OfferDarling Law believes in rewarding the people who help us grow.
