Corporate Legal In-Council (In-House)Las Vegas, NVIn-office / On-site position (100%) – LOCAL CANDIDATES PLEASECompensation: $175,000 to $225,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) plus discretionary potential of 20-25% and benefitsSummary: Corporate In-House Legal Counsel will be a hands‑on legal professional supporting the organization across a broad range of legal, regulatory, and risk matters in a fast‑paced professional services environment. Partner closely with senior leadership to provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice, with a particular emphasis on contracting and corporate governance, while helping the firm navigate complex and evolving legal issues across predominantly U.S. and some international operations. Based in person and requires on‑site presence five days per week. Corporate Counsel reports to the General Counsel.Responsibilities of Corporate In-House Legal Council: Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership on corporate, operational, and regulatory mattersDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including client engagements, vendor agreements, and strategic arrangementsSupport corporate governance activities, including entity management, board-related matters, and internal governance practicesIdentify, analyze, and resolve legal issues arising in a professional services organization with diverse service offerings and complex regulatory touchpointsProvide legal support across a broad spectrum of issues, including:U.S. and international employment and operational matters (local laws, taxes, permits)Restructuring‑related matters, including Chapter 11 and receivership proceedingsCourt‑mandated actions such as retention applications and court ordersFiduciary, expert, and advisory engagementsInsurance coverage and risk transfer questionsData protection and privacy matters, including GDPR and U.S. privacy frameworksAssist with or lead legal aspects of restructuring, Rx‑related, expert, and fiduciary work, as applicableConduct due diligence and support legal aspects of business initiatives, transactions, and growth activitiesManage litigation, disputes, and claims, including coordination with outside counselPerform legal research and prepare clear, concise written analyses and recommendations for executive audiencesSupport risk mitigation efforts and help establish controls to address legal and regulatory exposureCollaborate cross‑functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, Matters, Compliance, and other stakeholdersUtilize legal matter management and document management systems to track work efficientlyStay current on relevant legal, regulatory, and industry developments impacting the organization Qualifications for In-House Corporate In-House Legal Council:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school requiredActive membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar required4–6 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or in‑house legal roleDemonstrated experience with contract drafting / review / and negotiationDemonstrated experience supporting corporate governance activities (including entity management and internal governance matters)Experience advising on a wide range of legal issues in a professional services or similarly complex organizationExposure to restructuring, insolvency, or court‑mandated matters (including Chapter 11 or receivership proceedings) a strong plusExperience supporting organizations with U.S. and international legal considerations, including local laws, regulatory requirements, and cross‑border issuesFamiliarity with data protection and privacy matters (including GDPR and U.S. privacy frameworks), insurance‑related issues, and fiduciary or advisory engagements preferredBusiness‑minded legal judgment: Balances legal risk with practical, solutions‑oriented advice aligned to business objectivesAbility to operate at pace: Comfortable managing a high volume and wide variety of legal questions in a fast‑moving, complex environmentAdaptability & flexibility: Handles ambiguity well and adjusts quickly as priorities shift across different legal issue areasStrong ownership mindset: Takes accountability for matters end‑to‑end and follows through with minimal directionClear and concise communicator: Explains complex legal concepts in plain language to senior leaders and non‑legal stakeholdersSound judgment and discretion: Exercises professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive mattersCollaborative approach: Works effectively with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners across the organizationDetail‑oriented but pragmatic: Maintains attention to detail while keeping focus on what matters most from a legal and business perspective
