Job Title: Performance Test EngineerPay Rate: $75/HR (H1B - $70/HR)Duration: 12 monthsJob Requisition: WF002744Location: Charlotte, NCAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to help ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise Java-based applications. You will work as part of a Scrum/Kanban team and be responsible for designing and executing performance tests, maintaining automation scripts, analyzing results, and identifying application bottlenecks.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with BlazeMeter/JMeter, Selenium, Java application testing, and performance analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform performance testing for Java-based applications and distributed systems.Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using BlazeMeter and/or JMeter.Create and maintain Selenium automation and regression test scripts.Design test cases, develop test scripts, execute tests, and analyze performance results.Identify application performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.Analyze JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance.Develop performance test strategies, test plans, and performance reports.Work closely with developers, QA, infrastructure, and engineering teams.Support testing activities within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment.Requirements7+ years of performance testing experience with Java-based applications and distributed systems.7+ years of hands-on experience with JMeter and/or BlazeMeter.Experience with BlazeMeter is highly preferred.5+ years of experience with Selenium automation.Strong understanding of performance metrics, bottleneck identification, and performance tuning.Experience analyzing JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance.Experience developing performance test strategies, test plans, scripts, and reports.Strong collaboration skills and experience working with Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.Nice-to-Have Skills & ExperienceGitHub Copilot, Devin, or other AI-assisted development/testing tools – 1+ year.ADA/Accessibility compliance testing experience.Playwright experience – 1+ year.SQL Server query development and optimization for test data preparation, validation, and performance analysis – 1+ year.Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana.What You Will Work OnSupport a dedicated engineering team responsible for a growing enterprise application.Perform automation and performance testing as development stories become ready.Update and maintain performance scripts for ongoing application changes.Help the team improve application performance and testing capabilities.Collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve performance issues.
