Senior Technical Architect We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join our U.S.-based team. In this role, you will serve as a Forward Deployed Engineer, partnering closely with our Product Development team to deliver innovative solutions. This is a remote position, must live in the United States.As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will lead and scale Perficient's Product Development practice focused on AI-enabled software development lifecycle (SDLC) transformation in regulated industries (Healthcare, Financial Services, Automotive/Industrial). This strategic role combines practice management, presales excellence, platform engineering, and innovation leadership to drive AI-First delivery capabilities across the enterprise.As a Senior Technical Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You'll work with the latest technologies, expand your skills, and become a part of our global community of talented, diverse, and knowledgeable colleagues.Responsibilities Assist with building and scaling Perficient's AI SDLC offering, creating, leading, and trainingCreate detailed end-to-end architectures including models, feature stores, and interfacesDesign enterprise AI SDLC platforms (cloud-agnostic across Azure/AWS/GCP/on-prem) with security and compliance embeddedBuild compliance frameworks translating HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX, ISO 26262 into engineering patterns and controlsDeliver platform MVPs in 6-8 weeks with small teams (2-4 engineers), balancing speed with quality and regulatory requirementsCreate reference architectures, model gateways, prompt governance, and evidence automation frameworksOwn and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.Own development of a few features in every Sprint.Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.Qualifications 10+ years software development, engineering, or technology consulting with demonstrated technical depth5+ years leadership experienceHands on experience in designing and building agentic solutionsExperience with prompt engineeringDeep understanding of SDLC, DevOps, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and AI/ML technologies (LLMs, RAG, agents)Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making.Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.Strong technical credibility with ability to code review, architect solutions, and command engineering respectExperience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.Must be open to travel.Preferred Skills and Education:Master's degree in Computer Science or related fieldCertifications: AWS/Azure Solutions ArchitectThe salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $118,100.00 - $202,730.00.
