Pay is determined by qualifications and background. Now hiring lead teachers. Requires Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and minimum 20 credits in elementary or early childhood education. Preference given to individuals with associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in early childhood or elementary education. Pay range: $15 - $16.77 per hour Now hiring caregivers. Pay range: $13 to 14 per hour Caring Steps employees should have the following qualifications: 19 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of six semester hours and experience in a child-related field CDA or associate degree in early childhood education or Montessori credential preferred Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and flexibility Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgement Ability to interact and communicate positively and appropriately Possess excellent organizational skills Be reliable and punctual Responsibilities include the following: Assist with the administration of day-to-day classroom operations Assist with planning a variety of creative activities and projects that are age-appropriate Assist with the recording of daily individual student anecdotal notes for parent/guardian for all students Complete the required professional development training including CPR, first aid and bloodborne pathogens education Comply with all applicable licensing requirements Work cooperatively with children, parents and colleagues Be enthusiastic, conscientious and resourceful Comply with policies and procedures of the RCS Caring Steps Children’s Center and Rochester Community Schools Maintain confidentiality, a professional attitude and loyalty to the program Other duties as assigned Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No weekends Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) License/Certification: CPR Certification (Preferred) Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
