Summary: We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about automation, has a good understanding of networking principles, and experience with hardware device integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, be proficient in Python, and possess the ability to design, implement, and maintain automated systems for both software and hardware components. This role will also involve working with large data transfers over high-speed networking interfaces, creating GUIs for monitoring and debugging, and performing automated health checks for labs or networks. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated solutions for infrastructure management, deployment pipelines, and configuration management. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and hardware specialists to integrate and automate processes across various systems. Develop scripts and tools in Python to automate tasks and improve system efficiency. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of automated systems, ensuring high availability and reliability. Design and develop GUIs for monitoring consoles, aiding in debugging, monitoring, and reporting. Build automation and tooling for configuration, metrics collection and analysis of network devices. Implement asset management tooling required for management and optimized utilization of network and network test devices in the lab. Manage and facilitate large data transfers over high-speed networking interfaces. Utilize data traffic emulators such as IXIA for testing and performance evaluation. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations. Qualifications: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on automation and infrastructure management. Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation purposes. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools. Good understanding of networking principles and protocols, with experience in automating network configurations and management. Experience with hardware device integration and automation, including knowledge of relevant protocols and interfaces. Knowledge of network automation and tooling. Experience with automated health checks for labs or networks. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with data traffic emulators such as IXIA. Experience in designing and developing GUIs for monitoring and reporting purposes. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Chef, Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate).
