This role supports headquarters staff in Washington, DC and international personnel deployed worldwide. The specialist will deliver hands-on and remote IT support covering hardware, software, network services, cybersecurity compliance, identity management, and enterprise collaboration platforms.This is a high-responsibility, mission-critical role requiring deep Microsoft 365 administration experience, strong troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to operate in a secure government IT environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal IT Support & Operations Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 IT support to domestic and internationally deployed staffTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, network, and connectivity issuesDeliver full lifecycle IT support for laptops, mobile devices, and peripheralsProvide real-time remote technical assistance using enterprise remote access toolsSupport hybrid and remote work environments across multiple time zonesMicrosoft 365 & Identity Administration Administer Microsoft 365 hybrid environmentsManage Entra ID (Azure AD), Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)Administer Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft GroupsSupport Outlook, Teams conferencing, and collaboration workflowsManage email account creation, modification, archiving, and deactivationCybersecurity, Governance & Compliance Maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity directives and FISMA requirementsSupport enterprise cybersecurity initiatives including cyber hygiene scansAssist with data loss prevention controlsFollow strict government security standards and auditing requirementsSafeguard controlled and sensitive informationIT Asset & Equipment Management Maintain complete IT asset inventory across global staffProvision, deploy, repair, replace, and track laptops and mobile devicesManage IT equipment logistics, shipping, recovery, and lifecycle replacementSupport and maintain Audio/Video and conference room IT systemsApplication & Software Support Install, configure, update, and support: Adobe ApplicationsPower BIPower AutomateVisioPlannerProjectTroubleshoot application licensing, access, and performance issuesRequired Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of professional IT support experienceDeep expertise with: Microsoft 365 Hybrid EnvironmentsEntra ID / Azure ADMFA and SSOAdvanced Windows OS troubleshooting and device supportExperience installing, supporting, and managing laptop and mobile devicesHands-on experience with: Exchange OnlineTeamsSharePointOneDriveExperience with enterprise remote support tools: Remote DesktopZoomMicrosoft TeamsStrong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliancePreferred Qualifications Experience supporting globally deployed staff and international operationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work independently under deadlinesHigh adaptability in fast-changing environmentsStrong collaborative mindset and cultural sensitivityBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldRelevant certifications preferred: CompTIAMicrosoftITILWork Environment & Expectations (Implicit Requirements Now Clarified) Full-time onsite role at Washington, DC headquartersDaily interaction with international users across multiple time zonesHigh availability during business hours with flexibility for urgent global issuesHandling of sensitive government systems and dataStrict adherence to federal IT security and acceptable use policiesNo subcontracting - individual contractor engagement onlyBackground investigation and suitability determination required before startClearance & Compliance Requirements Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust ClearanceMust successfully pass background investigationMust maintain active SAM registration and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI)Must comply with all federal cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance rules
