The Role
We’re seeking a passionate Omakase Chef to join our opening team and lead the sushi counter with creativity and discipline.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in sushi and omakase preparation, thrives in small, high-end environments, and understands that hospitality is as important as technique.
You’ll work side by side with our Executive Chef to:
Curate and execute nightly omakase menus (12–14 courses)
Ensure precise knife work, plating, and service timing
Maintain fish and ingredient quality, from sourcing to storage
Lead the counter experience with storytelling and guest interaction
Collaborate on menu R&D, beverage pairings, and special events
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of sushi or omakase experience (fine dining preferred)
Deep knowledge of Japanese ingredients, seasonality, and rice preparation
Strong communication and guest engagement skills
Clean, organized, and detail-oriented work ethic
Ability to work in a small, team-driven environment
Must be authorized to work in Puerto Rico
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
