Actuarial Analyst - Defined Benefit

Job Description:Reconcile census and financial data utilized in preparing accounting and funding valuation reportsDraft routine deliverables, including contribution requirements, accounting costs, government forms and other standardized reportsUpdate assumptions and provisions in third-party software for use in annual valuationsPrepare and/or review routine benefit calculationsDevelop and maintain expertise on design and plan administration of assigned clientsInterface with client to handle routine valuation and administration-related tasksWork towards attaining actuarial credentialsResponsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.Requirements:Bachelors degree in actuarial science, math or math related field; Overall GPA 3.0 or higher; Math or Actuarial GPA 3.5 or higherPassing grade on at least one actuarial examPrior experience as an analyst supporting pension plan valuations and/or actuarial consulting teams preferredDemonstrated expertise with Microsoft, particularly Excel applicationsExperience with ProVal, exposure to public sector/church plans preferredExcellent analytical and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines in connection with business operationsBenefits:Health insurance401(k) matching
