Job Title: Engineering ManagerLocation: Stevens Point, WIPosition remains open; only application link update's dailyResponsibilitiesEngineering Manager – Turbine Engine Assembly & TestPosition SummaryThe Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing, developing, and scaling the engineering function for a turbine engine assembly and test facility. Initially serving as an individual contributor, this role reports to the Vice President of Propulsion Operations and works closely with the Operations Manager and Quality Manager to establish the site's engineering, manufacturing, and quality foundations.As the organization transitions from New Product Introduction (NPI) into Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and ultimately Full-Rate Production (FRP), the Engineering Manager will evolve into a people leader, reporting to the Plant Manager and leading a growing team of Manufacturing and Propulsion Engineers.This position is instrumental in driving manufacturing readiness by reducing process variability, resolving technical issues, improving First Pass Yield (FPY), and enabling scalable, repeatable production processes that support increased throughput and takt time.Organizational Growth & Engineering LeadershipPhase 1 – Site Startup & New Product Introduction (NPI)Phase 2 – New Product Introduction to Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP)Phase 3 – Low-Rate Initial Production to Full-Rate Production (FRP)Core ResponsibilitiesAcross all phases, the Engineering Manager will:Lead engineering support for turbine engine assembly and test operations.Resolve technical issues throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.Develop and maintain fault tree analyses for critical failure modes.Drive reduction of product and process variation.Participate in the development and maintenance of DFMEAs and PFMEAs.Lead structured Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.Train production personnel on engineering intent, manufacturing procedures, and failure recognition.Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead the engineering organization as production scales.Foster close collaboration across Engineering, Operations, and Quality functions.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum of seven years of experience supporting propulsion systems, aerospace manufacturing, turbine engine assembly, balancing, and testing.Experience transferring legacy products or supporting inherited product designs.Demonstrated success transitioning products from New Product Introduction (NPI) into production within startup or rapidly growing manufacturing environments.Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills involving mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and production testing.Experience performing tolerance analysis and implementing variation reduction methodologies.Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and structured problem-solving methodologies.Experience utilizing 8D Problem Solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.Six Sigma certification or equivalent analytical and process improvement experience preferred.What We OfferCompetitive base salary with performance-based incentivesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributionGenerous paid time off, including vacation, personal days, and company holidaysProfessional development, technical training, and career growth opportunitiesCollaborative, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven work environment focused on innovation and manufacturing excellence
