Chief Engineering exceeds client’s expectations every time, and we are committed to building a lasting legacy delivering accurate and actionable engineering results you can build on.About the Role - Sr. Structural EngineerThe Senior Structural Engineer is expected to provide expert technical competency through all phases of design, to include budgets and forecasting; verify structures for various engineering projects in major manufacturing environments; and create highly accurate designs to ensure the safety and physical integrity of buildings and other large structures. In this role, the senior structural engineer will spend time in our office and at clients’ facilities for assessments, calculations, and observations. The position is highly detail-oriented, and the incumbent must be self-motivated, innovative, and possess strong problem-solving skills.ResponsibilitiesBe the lead structural expert through major projectsDesigning, assessing, and verifying new and existing structures, with proficiencies in concrete and steelMeasure loads and pressuresConduct complex computations caused by environmental or human influenceCreate structural models by using computer-aided design softwareFollow safety guidelines and regulationsChoose appropriate materials based on structural specificationsPrepare and allocate budgetsPrioritize, track, and report on several projects at one timeCollaborate with clients, contractors, designers, and project managers to coordinate programs and projectsEnsure employees are properly trained and follow all safety requirementsRequired QualificationsBS/MS degree in Civil / Structural EngineeringProfessional Engineering License10+ years’ experience as a Structural Engineer with and emphasis in concrete and steelExcellent knowledge of construction methods and regulationsProficient with relevant design software and computer analysis software (Autodesk products)Proficient with writing and editing specifications and technical reportsData-driven mindset with excellent mathematical skillsGood communication ability (both written and verbal); English proficiencyAttention to detailStrong time management and organizational skillsProficient in the use of Office suite softwareWork collaboratively on multiple projectsPreferred QualificationsSEMS degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringEssential FunctionsTravel by vehicle to client’s siteWork on computerFunction in an outdoor / hazardous environmentWear special clothing and equipment / PPE may be requiredPay range and compensation packageCompetitive salaryVery generous PTOMedical, dental, vision insuranceFamily LeaveLife Insurance401(k) with company matchTuition reimbursement and licensuresGrowth opportunitiesTeam building events + local community involvementOur Core ValuesReliableRespectedRelentlessWillingInnovative
