Heavy Equipment & Conveyor Belt Mechanic

Job Description Zemer International is seeking a skilled, full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic with hands-on experience maintaining and repairing conveyor belt systems. This position supports continuous operations and requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. We operate 7 days a week, 40 hours per week, rain or shine. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and related machinery Inspect, repair, and align conveyor belt systems, including belts, rollers, pulleys, motors, bearings, and drives Perform preventative maintenance Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems Identify issues early to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability Follow all safety procedures, MSHA/OSHA standards, and company policies Requirements Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience Conveyor belt system experience preferred Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working outdoors and in industrial settings Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Additional Information Drug and background testing required Benefits Paid holidays Paid sick leave and vacation 401(k) Medical spending account
