Senior Project Manager – Rail & Transit ConstructionLocation: Los AngelesSalary: $325K/yr Type: FTE (Direct hire)We are seeking an executive level leader to oversee delivery of major rail and transit infrastructure programs in Southern California.This role provides overall leadership across preconstruction, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning for complex urban transit projects.You will manage multiple design build and alternative delivery contracts while ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives.You will serve as the primary liaison with client executives, legal teams, project controls, and third party stakeholders including local jurisdictions and regulatory agencies.This role requires deep experience navigating public sector environments and managing large, multidisciplinary teams.What You Will DoProvide executive leadership across all phases of rail and transit construction programsOversee multiple concurrent construction contracts of significant size and complexityLead contract administration including change management, risk mitigation, and claims resolutionEstablish project governance, reporting standards, and performance metricsDirect construction management, design support, safety, quality, and environmental teamsCoordinate closely with cities on permitting, utilities, traffic control, and community impactsDeliver executive level reporting, board materials, and stakeholder presentationsFoster a collaborative, solutions oriented project cultureRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline25 or more years of progressive experience delivering major rail or transit infrastructure projectsProfessional Engineer license required with California licensure strongly preferredProven experience managing large public sector or owner side programsPreferred ExperienceExperience on large urban transit systems or LA Metro related programsStrong understanding of alternative delivery methods including Design Build and CM GCExpertise in construction contracts, claims management, and dispute resolutionExperience coordinating with local agencies and municipalities in Southern CaliforniaFamiliarity with FTA New Starts requirements and reportingWhat We ValueStrong executive presence and communication skillsAbility to manage complex stakeholder environmentsSound judgment in high visibility and high risk programsCommitment to safety, quality, and schedule performanceThis role offers the opportunity to lead some of the most impactful transit projects in the region.Benefit packages for this role include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law
