Clinical Staffing Scheduler and Development Coordinator

The Staffing Scheduler & Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring optimal staffing coverage to support high-quality care and operations, while actively fostering a positive, engaged, and team-oriented workplace culture. This role plays a key part in driving employee satisfaction, retention, and a strong sense of community within the organization.Job DescriptionStaffing & SchedulingDevelop, manage, and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage based on census, acuity, and operational needs.Coordinate shift assignments, replacements, and last-minute call-offs to maintain compliance and continuity of service.Assist to monitor overtime, labor costs, and staffing efficiency; proactively adjust schedules to align with budget goals with leadership approval.Partner with department leaders to forecast staffing needs Ensure scheduling practices remain compliant with company policy and applicable labor regulations.Maintain accurate scheduling records and reporting.Assisting with screening applicants for clinical department and coordination with TAS on all recruitment efforts of the clinical departmentCulture & Employee EngagementChampionships in a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace cultureLead initiatives that promote employee recognition, appreciation, and engagementSupport onboarding experiences for new hires to ensure strong cultural integrationCoordinate team-building activities, celebrations, and engagement eventsReinforce company values through daily interactions and consistent follow-throughCollaboration & CommunicationCommunicate schedule updates clearly and timely to all team membersCollaborate with leadership on retention strategies and employee satisfaction initiativesSupport leadership in maintaining a respectful, professional, and accountable work environmentQualificationsQualifications/Skills/ Educational Requirements: Level of Formal Education: High school diploma or equivalent requiredYears of Experience: 1 yearType of Experience: Previous experience in scheduling, workforce management, or staffing coordination (healthcare or senior living preferred)Special Certifications: N/ALanguage Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsInformation Systems: Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft OfficePersonal Attributes: Positive attitude and solution-oriented mindsetHigh emotional intelligence and ability to build relationshipsAccountability and reliabilityFlexibility and adaptabilityStrong sense of urgency and follow-throughAdditional InformationSenior Lifestyle offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.
