The ideal candidate will excel in managing high volumes of phone communications with sometimes difficult insurance adjusters, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain organization and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant will assist our Negotiation Team with all aspects of communications with insurance adjusters, while supporting our Personal Injury staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Handling a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls with adjusters.
Communicate effectively and professionally with adjusters.
Organize and maintain detailed records and documentation.
Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Provide support to our Personal Injury staff as needed.
Must be able to work fast but effectively, make decisions and work independently.
Must be able to take charge and have effective problem-solving skills.
Respond to adjuster inquiries in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate case notes, reminders, and follow-ups in the case management system.
Qualifications
Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant in a personal injury high-volume legal setting preferred but not required. Experience in the insurance industry a plus but not required.
Strong time-management skills a must.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency with phone systems and case management software.
Ability to follow detailed processes while exercising sound judgment.
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support coverage needs.
