What you'll do About the Role The Unit Manager for Memory Care at Aspen Trace plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the memory care unit, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. This position involves leading a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, fostering a compassionate environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents. The Unit Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, monitoring resident progress, and coordinating with families to ensure effective communication and support. Additionally, this role includes managing staff schedules, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing training to enhance team capabilities. Ultimately, the Unit Manager will contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and supportive atmosphere that enhances the quality of life for residents with memory impairments. Job Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the memory care unit, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, adjusting as necessary based on their evolving needs. Lead and mentor a team of nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality care. Facilitate effective communication with residents’ families, addressing concerns and providing updates on their loved ones’ care. Monitor and manage the unit’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high standards of care. Our ideal candidate Minimum Qualifications Current LPN or RN license in the state of practice. Experience in geriatric care or memory care settings. Strong leadership and management skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field. Certification in dementia care or related specialty. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
