Emerald Technologies is excited to welcome a Maintenance Technician to our Brea, CA team! In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our PCBA manufacturing operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll service and maintain SMT equipment, troubleshoot facility and production machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and HAZMAT handling standards. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on SMT machines and PCB assembly equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility‑related issues across production and building systems.
Assist with the installation, setup, calibration, and integration of new SMT and manufacturing equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facility systems.
Perform basic facility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
Safely handle, label, store, and dispose of HAZMAT waste in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and external vendors to resolve equipment issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or degree in a related field preferred.
Experience servicing SMT machines or electronics manufacturing equipment (strongly preferred).
Hands‑on experience with facility maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing repairs.
Knowledge of OSHA/EPA safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and diagnostic skills across equipment and facility systems.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and safety documentation.
Physical ability to perform hands‑on maintenance tasks, including lifting, standing, kneeling, and working with tools and equipment.

Schedule & Budgeted Hours
Mid Shift:
Shift Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Paid Hours Per Day: 8 hours (includes one 30‑minute unpaid meal break)
PM Shift:
Shift Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Paid Hours Per Day: 8 hours (includes one 30‑minute unpaid meal break)
Overtime:
May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law.
Budgeted Hours
Budgeted Weekly Hours: 40 hours (5 shifts × 8 hours).
Overtime: May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law.
