Water/Wastewater Construction Management Specialist

Job ID: 44485BR Business Unit: TSU About the Role CDM Smith is actively seeking a skilled Construction Management Specialist with expertise in water and wastewater projects to enhance our team and lead a variety of construction initiatives. Responsibilities Planning, managing, and leading construction projects from small to large-scale endeavors with moderate complexity. Conducting thorough project analyses and providing comprehensive monthly progress reports detailing issues, deficiencies, and risks. Overseeing construction management tasks, including critical path method (CPM) schedules and claim administration. Interpreting and clarifying plans and specifications for clients, contractors, and field teams. Offering internal consultation and serving as a technical resource across various divisions within the company. Identifying and developing new business opportunities through proactive proposal preparation and networking with clients. Coordinating shop drawing activities to ensure project compliance and quality. Engaging in the administration of the construction services group as needed. Reviewing regulations from government and funding agencies to ensure compliance and proper consultative guidance. Providing expert testimony in claims administration as necessary. Performing additional related duties as required. This position can be based in either Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. You may expect about 30% travel depending on project requirements. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 10 years of relevant experience; additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Skills Strong knowledge of construction processes and regulations. Excellent leadership and staff development capabilities. Effective project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in business development and client relations. This role requires you to work both in the office and the field, navigating various environments and conditions.
