Rehab Aide
Job Summary

In this vital role, you will support physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with therapy sessions, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Your proactive approach will help facilitate smooth treatment processes across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care settings, contributing to positive patient outcomes and a supportive healing environment.
Duties
Assist patients with mobility exercises, transfers, and daily activities under the supervision of licensed therapists.
Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment is sanitized, organized, and ready for therapy sessions.
Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist promptly.
Support intake procedures by gathering patient information and documenting relevant medical history accurately.
Maintain detailed records of patient progress, session details, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare protocols.
Educate patients on post-treatment exercises and care routines to promote continued recovery at home or in outpatient settings.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans across hospital medicine, orthopedics, geriatrics, and other specialties.
Qualifications
Prior experience working in hospital or clinical environments is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support effective patient care.
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient service with a focus on safety and comfort.
Experience in acute care, inpatient settings, or post-acute/sub-acute care environments is advantageous.
Familiarity with outpatient clinics or orthopedic rehabilitation practices enhances your candidacy.
Knowledge of geriatrics and hospital medicine ensures versatile support across diverse patient populations.

Pay: $23.65 - $28.48 per hour
