You'll be the "secret ingredient" that helps keep our classes fun, safe, and seamless!Why You'll Love This JobGuaranteed Hours: You'll receive 4 hours of pay per week (starting at $25 per hour), whether you're observing (up to three) classes or assisting with program support.Flexibility with Purpose: Most opportunities fall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons (3–5:30 PM), making it perfect if you want part-time consistency.Be the Hero: Step in and lead when needed! If you're called to cover a class, you'll be paid on top of your guaranteed hours.Loyalty Bonus: Show up for your scheduled shifts all semester, and we'll thank you with a reliability bonus at the end of the term!Supportive & Fun Team: Training, tools, recipes, and lots of encouragement are provided. You bring the positivity, we'll supply the rest!What You'll DoObserve & Support: Attend up to 3 classes weekly to assist lead instructors, help with setup/cleanup, ensure chef instructors do well and learn our teaching style.Be Ready to Sub: Step in as the lead instructor when needed (notice may be as early as 3 days prior, or as late as 6 hours before class).Assist Admin Work: When not observing or subbing, contribute up to 4 hours of light support tasks like organizing tools, prepping supplies, or helping with scheduling.Spread Joy: Encourage young chefs, model a love of food, and be a positive presence in the classroom.Who You AreLove working with kids and have the patience, creativity, and sense of humor to connect with them – any teaching or working with children experiences are highly preferred but not requiredFlexible and adaptable - you're comfortable adjusting plans and jumping in when needed.Available Tues/Wed/Thurs between 3–6:30 PM, with a predictable weekly schedule provided in advance.Reliable and punctual, with dependable transportation.Willing to pass state and FBI background checks (required).(Bonus!)
