This position is responsible for supervising all on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents, codes, and client standards. The Electrical Superintendent serves as the on-site authority for electrical scope coordination, workforce leadership, and quality execution.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Construction LeadershipManage and oversee all electrical construction activities from project mobilization through commissioning and turnoverDirect installation of complex electrical systems, including:Medium- and low-voltage power distributionSwitchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, and backup generatorsGrounding and bonding systemsLighting, fire alarm, and life safety systemsInterpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract requirementsPlan, sequence, and coordinate work to meet aggressive project milestonesServe as primary on-site electrical contact for the General Contractor, client, inspectors, and vendorsSafety & ComplianceEnforce Quality "Plus" Services' safety program and OSHA requirementsLead job hazard analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and daily safety briefingsEnsure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70/70E, local jurisdiction codes, and data center safety standardsProactively identify and correct unsafe conditionsWorkforce & Subcontractor ManagementSupervise electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprenticesCoordinate staffing levels and manpower planning to meet schedule demandsMonitor productivity, manpower efficiency, and quality of workManage subcontractors to ensure scope alignment and performance expectationsQuality Control & Commissioning SupportEnforce quality standards and workmanship expectationsPerform field inspections to verify installations meet plans and specificationsCoordinate testing, equipment startups, and commissioning supportResolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and RFIs in coordination with the Project ManagerSchedule, Progress & ReportingAssist with development and maintenance of project schedulesTrack daily progress and report field status to project leadershipIdentify potential schedule impacts and implement corrective actionsSupport material coordination and logistics to avoid delaysParticipate in punch lists, inspections, and closeout activitiesQualificationsRequiredMinimum requirement is a Journeyman LicenseMinimum 8+ years of Commercial electrical construction experience, with a strong preference for data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial projectsProven experience as an Electrical Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or similar leadership roleExtensive knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and electrical construction best practicesAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and specificationsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsPreferredPrior data center or mission-critical facility experienceExperience supporting commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state or reciprocal)OSHA 30 certificationWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an active construction environmentAbility to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift materials as requiredWillingness to work extended hours, weekends, or shifts as needed to meet project schedulesAbout Quality "Plus" ServicesQuality "Plus" Services is a trusted provider of skilled construction and technical professionals supporting complex projects nationwide.
