Auto Mechanic

Job Description The Auto Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing passenger cars and mixed vehicle types within a small team environment. This role involves using proprietary shop software and various diagnostic tools to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. The mechanic will perform routine maintenance, component alignment, and safety inspections while documenting all work accurately to support invoicing. ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections to diagnose engine, drivetrain, and other vehicle issuesRepair or replace worn or damaged parts to maintain vehicle operationConduct oil, filter, and fluid changes and other routine maintenance tasksAdjust and align components, including sensors, to manufacturer specificationsPerform safety and emissions inspections as requiredConduct diagnostic testing using proprietary and generic toolsDocument work performed and parts used for invoicing purposesCommunicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and repairs Required Qualifications2+ years of experience in automotive repairAutomotive technology certificateValid driver's license Preferred QualificationsExperience with engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulicsProficiency in using diagnostic toolsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailCustomer service skills
