Job Title: Quality Lab Associate II (Calibration Technician)Location: Medina, NY (100% On-site)Pay Rate: $27.00/hr (W2)Duration: 8-Month Contract (Through End of Year)Shift: 12-hour flexibility required (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM) to cover team rotations; Overtime as needed.Role Overview:As a Quality Lab Associate II, you will serve as a Senior Calibration Technician responsible for ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and analytical measuring equipment meets strict industry standards. You will test, calibrate, and repair equipment to ensure accuracy while maintaining rigorous documentation in a regulated medical device environment.What You’ll Do:Calibration & Testing: Test and calibrate indicating and recording equipment to ensure precise readings.Maintenance: Troubleshoot equipment to the component level and perform necessary repairs.Technical Execution: Operate electronic meters and test equipment; read blueprints and schematics to follow complex written instructions.Vendor Management: Coordinate scheduling with external calibration vendors, resolving issues and maintaining detailed reports.Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Medical Device Regulations (FDA).Top RequirementsExperience: 2+ years of experience in a calibration-focused role.Specialized Skill: Strong calibration experience is required; torque driver calibration experience is a significant plus.Regulated Industry: Experience in Medical Devices is preferred, but backgrounds in Automotive or Aerospace/Aviation are highly transferable.Technical Savvy: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Access; strong math skills and high attention to detail for documentation.Flexibility: Must be able to cover shifts between 5 AM and 5 PM to support team gaps.Education & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.2 years of College, Technical Trade School, or US Military training in electronics is highly preferred.Knowledge of anti-static precautions and electrical safety.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry up to 15 lbs from floor to shoulder and push/pull up to 6 lbs.Comfortable working in a temperature/humidity-controlled manufacturing environment.Willingness to wear static protective smocks and wrist straps as required by FDA regulations.
