Aircraft Painter

Experienced Aircraft Painter We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to join the 787 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves applying paint to aircraft sections in accordance with customer design and livery requirements. The position is 100% onsite and requires working at heights utilizing fall protection equipment.Responsibilities Perform painting of aircraft sections as per customer design and unique livery requirements.Verify aircraft is ready for exterior finish.Make necessary patterns, perform layout, and apply prescribed primers, paints, and finishes to the aircraft exterior.Prepare exterior surface of aircraft for painting.Apply aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections.Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, or general painting.Experience working from heights and using fall protection equipment.Ability to complete Fall Protection Training.Additional Skills & Qualifications Greater than three years of aerospace paint experience preferred.Experience with multi-staged paint processes at large scale.Knowledge of color space, color analysis, paint formulation, and paint application techniques.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Work for the largest aviation company in the United States, located in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC, with opportunities for career advancement and extensive training.Work Environment The position requires working onsite in North Charleston, SC, with shifts assigned based on business needs. Candidates must be willing to work any assigned shift, including night shifts. The work involves exposure to noise and working on elevated platforms. The dress code involves teamwear provided at the teamwear store.Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Charleston, SC.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
