Technical Designer (Associate to Senior Level)

Petit Clair is a growing children's fashion brand known for timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. With a strong direct-to-consumer presence and 8 retail locations, we are continuing to expand our technical design and product development team.We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Designer to support the development process from concept through production.We are open to candidates ranging from:Associate / Junior Technical Designers looking to growMid-Level Technical DesignersSenior Technical Designers with strong factory communication and ownership experienceThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of apparel development and thrives in a fast-paced environment working closely with factories, design, and production teams.Responsibilities Include:Creating and maintaining tech packs, specs, grading, BOMs, and construction detailsReviewing designs and identifying missing or unclear technical information prior to factory submissionManaging communication and follow-up with overseas factoriesOwning development timelines from proto through production readinessParticipating in fittings and providing actionable fit commentsTracking styles, comments, and approvals within PLM systemsEnsuring accuracy, organization, and execution throughout the development processQualifications:Experience in technical design and/or apparel developmentStrong understanding of garment construction, fit, and production processesExperience working with overseas factories preferredProficiency in PLM systems, Excel, and Adobe IllustratorExcellent written communication skills and strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWe are especially interested in candidates who are proactive, process-driven, highly responsive, and excited to be hands-on in bringing products to life.If interested, please apply directly or message me to schedule a conversation.
