Budtender Benefits: Supplemental pay in addition to hourly wage in the form of cash tips Employee Discount (30% off all in-store purchases) Health insurance options Cannabis product training Regular samples of cannabis products Sales incentives/competitions and prizes in the form of cash, gift cards, products, etc. Budtender Responsibilities: Position Description: Budtender informs and services customers in the selection and purchasing of cannabis and related products. · Greets/Checks in customers Collects payments by accepting cash or card from customers; issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change for cash customers with accuracy and attention to detail. · Provides customers with information about cannabis and alternatives. · Assists customers with product selection. · Processes customer orders and payments utilizing POS software. · Maintains appropriate stock quantities. · Assists management staff in the general operation of the facility. · Provides top notch customer service in all interactions. · Participate in ongoing trainings to have accurate knowledge and be able to provide the best level of service to customers · Presents a clean and safe facility. Primary Objectives: · Promotes a safe and courteous environment. · Aids customers in an efficient and timely manner. · Provide customers with education and information about the uses of cannabis flower and other alternatives. Specific Responsibilities of the Job a) Checks customer in if necessary. b) Reviews customer purchasing history. c) Adhere to strict security protocols to prevent theft, diversion, or unauthorized access to cannabis products. d) Ensure compliance with state and local regulations · Assists customers with product selection a) Presents customer specified samples. b) Addresses customer questions and concerns. c) Interact with customers in a professional and compassionate manner. d) Provide customers with appropriate options based on supplied educational materials. · Processes customer orders utilizing POS software a) Inputs customers order quantities in accordance with remaining availability. b) Packages and labels customer orders in accordance with packaging policy standards. c) Produces sales receipt. d) Receives and deposits appropriate monetary compensation. · Maintains appropriate stock quantities a) Routinely checks the inventory level of stocked items. b) Refills stock quantities to company required minimums and maximums. · Assists management staff in general operation of the facility a) Communicates customer concerns to management team. b) Recognizes and communicates potential safety concerns to management team. c) Completes additional assignments and task as assigned by management. · Presents a clean and safe facility a) Sweeps, mops, and clears the floors of the facility throughout the day to present a clean environment. b) Cleans all glass windows, displays, and surfaces to be free of accumulated dirt or smudges. c) Dusts appropriate surfaces regularly to prevent the accumulation of dust. d) Clears trash bins and replaces with appropriate trash bin liners. e) Dresses in appropriate professional attire. Education & Experience · High School Diploma or GED required · 1-3 years in a retail environment or related experience preferred Physical Demands · This position will require the applicant to routinely stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 6-8 hours. Position requires the occasional lifting of objects in excess of 25 lbs. · Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment Work environment may consist of handling several customer requests at once. Processing these requests in a timely manner will be tantamount to the satisfactory completion of this position Budtender Requirements/Skills: Previous Sales and/or Customer Service Experience is Required Budtending Experience is Preferred but Not Required Familiarity with POS system, Meadow, is a Plus Sound knowledge of cannabis strains/products and their medicinal benefits Exceptional customer service skills Ability to work as part of a team Excellent communication skills Ability to facilitate sales Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Health insurance Shift: 8 hour shift Day shift Night shift Application Question(s): Do you have any experience in the cannabis industry?
