Building on more than 30 years of sustainability progress and industry‐first innovation, we remain 'all in' on our goal of becoming carbon negative by 2040, without the use of offsets.Position summary:Manufacturing supervisor will achieve business objectives through strategic responsibilities including; selecting, mentoring, and coaching employees; communicating performance expectations, monitoring performance, appraising, and reviewing job contributions, as well as enforcing policies and procedures.Interface is looking to fill a current Yarn Prep supervisor opening in our West Point RCA facility on the 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2PM -10PM weekly with occasional weekends.Educational requirements:* Prefer college degree in Business or Engineering or related degree program.* Will consider high school or G.E.D with relevant equivalent manufacturing supervisory experienceSkills and experience:At least two years of manufacturing supervision experienceExcellent communication skills, written and verbalProficient mathematical skillsDemonstrated leadership and reasoning skillsEssential duties:Direct resources to ensure adherence to production schedule while maintaining the lowest possible costEnsure proper work methods are being used.Ensure that all activities are being performed safely.Ensure adherence to all quality proceduresAnalyze work orders to determine the need for supplies and sequence of operation.Coordinate flow of materials through RCA manufacturing processes .Ensure proper training of workers in the operation and adjustment of machines and equipment.Ensure proper examination of yarn and carpets during processing to verify conformance to specifications and to prevent defects.Adjust resource utilization to meet production scheduleEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and systemsEnforce company, plant, and departmental safety regulationsInterpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns dutiesRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productAnalyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problemsInitiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goalsRecommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.Oversee training of new workersMaintain time and production recordsMay estimate, requisition, and inspect materialsMay confer with other Supervisors of other departments in order to coordinate activitiesConduct performance appraisalsInitiate the hiring processMaintain housekeepingComply with safety rulesComply with environmental regulationsBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)Perform other duties as assignedPhysical demands:Light physical work.Considerable walkingConsiderable standingWork environment:Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment#LI-AS1#LI-OnsiteBachelor of Business AdministrationLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
