Job DescriptionForklift Operator - Shipper/ReceiverCrossville, TNShift:Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pmMust be flexible for shift coverage, overtime, and on-call needs as required.A local manufacturing facility in Crossville is seeking a dependable and safety-focused forklift operator.This role is essential to ensuring accurate receiving, staging, and shipping of products while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards. Ideal candidates have solid forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Responsibilities:Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMPs, and SOPsDirect incoming trucks to appropriate dock doors and properly secure trailersVerify trailer contents and report damaged products to quality assurance prior to receivingMatch shipping documents with pick tickets and stage orders using FIFO proceduresDouble-check shipment dates, quantities, and product quality before loadingLoad and unload finished goods and raw materials accurately using a forkliftComplete shipping confirmations and print bills of ladingRotate production inventory from the production floor to the warehouseServe as backup forklift operator for production and material handlingAssist with bottling line support when neededMaintain clean, organized warehouse areas and comply with food safety requirementsRequirements:Minimum 2 years of forklift experienceAt least 1 year of experience in food processing, bottling, blending, or consumer goods manufacturing/packaging preferredStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracyBasic math and computer skillsGood written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to use hand tools and required personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to pass a drug screening and background checkWillingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and on-call duty as neededAbility to work in environments that may be hot, cold, dusty, or strong-smellingAbility to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, reach, and climb throughout the entirety of shiftAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. independently and 50+ lbs. with assistanceSteel toe shoes requiredBenefits:Weekly payHealthcare coverages availableIf you're a reliable, detail-oriented forklift operator who values safety and accuracy in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, apply now!Additional InformationSmallBiz Staffing specializes in connecting great people with great jobs!
