Position DescriptionEssential FunctionsManufacturing departments include: metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, woodworking, packing and shippingBasic understanding of blueprint drawingsAbility to read tape measure to the 1/16”, dial calipers, and Vernier calipers.Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation dutiesOperates multiple machines such as: metal fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power toolsSelects and programs adjustments in computer program.Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily availableEffectively monitor production equipmentAssist the shop maintenance technicians as necessaryPerform appropriate duties as assigned by managementMaintain a safe and clean work spaceFollow established safety rules and regulationsAssist in other departments as assignedParticipate in project teams to help improve the companyRequired Education And ExperienceMinimum 1-2 years manufacturing experienceMinimum 1-2 years’ experience setting up and operating manufacturing equipment.Basic math skills – fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisionAbility to read blueprints and perform a flat layout.HS Diploma or GED, technical school a plusMechanically inclinedDetail orientatedWillingness to work as a team member and positive attitude is a mustCapable of lifting up to 50lbs.There with Every StepBenefitsSS Industries emphasizes meaningful career development and growth through challenging employees with projects and supporting them with training.
