ABOUT THE ROLE:Conduct comprehensive research utilizing computer-based tools, including reviews of media sources, public records databases, and open source information• Analyze research results, identify relevant information, and discern potential areas of concern• Prepare concise written summaries of research findings to inform executive decisions• Support the development and evaluation of due diligence protocols• Help address potential institutional conflicts of interest associated with Bank vendors and counterparties• Help handle Compliance-related matters involving the Bank’s trading operations• Support other Trading & Third-Party Compliance tasksQuals--The Compliance Function is an independent advisory and control function within Client. The mission of the Compliance Function is to protect the Bank and serve the public interest by ensuring that the Bank adopts sound risk-based compliance controls, and by promoting a robust ethical culture. Within the Compliance Function, the Due Diligence Review Team conducts reviews of certain individuals and entities prior to their possible association with the Bank. Reviews of individuals include potential members of the Bank’s Advisory Groups, vendor personnel, and speakers at Bankwide events. Reviews of entities include potential trading counterparties, vendors, and strategic partner organizations.Required Skills:At least 3-5 years of previous work experience in research and analysisAnalyze and summarize complex informationPresent information in a clear, concise, and objective mannerExperience using subscription databases (e.g., Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, Factiva, or Accurint), and primary-source publicrecords databasesExperience using search queries and research methodsHandle sensitive matters and confidential informationKnowledge and interest in current events and public affairsKnowledge of financial markets and products a plus
